Liturgy & Music Commission
Meetings Quarterly Monday mornings at 2525 Lyon St, San Francisco
Members of the Commission on Liturgy and Music (CLM) are leaders in music and worship for our diocese. They serve as educators at liturgical workshops, and as resources for worship at clergy conferences and diocesan services and leadership conventions; and they collaborate with other diocesan commissions in diocesan and inter-parish programs. The CLM functions as a communications link with many national and international church organizations: the Standing Commission on Liturgy and Music (SCLM), the Association of Anglican Musicians (AAM), Associated Parishes for Liturgy and Mission (APLM), the International Anglican Liturgical Consultation (IALC), the North American Academy of Liturgy (NAAL), and Societas Liturgica. These relationships serve to keep our diocese abreast of liturgical and musical issues facing the larger church, to contribute our diocese’s experience to worldwide liturgical renewal, and to provide resources for congregational consultation. Commission members consult often with parishes and clergy to support local liturgical development and education.
